WORK VISA

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION:

1. Valid passport. A minimum validity of six months required.

2. Applications forms (1 and 2) Typed and ALL CAPS

3. Health certificate issued by a doctor stating that the applicant enjoys good health and has no communicable disease.

4. HIV/HTLV test issued by a Health Department, Laboratory, or private doctor.

5. Police Certificate issued by Federal authorities stating that the applicant has no records nationwide.  (FBI BACKGROUND CHECK)

6. Four (4) passport photographs professionally done 2x2 (color or black and white).

7. Work contract signed before the Consul of Chile

MEDICAL CERTIFICATE AND POLICE RECORD SHOULD BE RECENT, 30 DAYS AT THE MOST

A visa fee must be paid at the Consulate. Values vary according to the nationality of the applicant. For U.S. Citizens the visa itself has no cost but there is an administrative reciprocity fee of US$ 131 dollars.

Fees must be paid by money order or direct deposit to the Consulate of Chile bank account. Checks are NOT accepted.

At the Consulate in Washington, DC payment can be made and is prefered by credit or debit card.
