Tuesday, June 6-6:30 pm at the IDB Cultural Center "THE LOST RECORDING OF PABLO NERUDA" In June 1966 Chilean poet and future Nobel Laureate Pablo Neruda was invited by the Inter-American Development Bank to give a poetry recital, which was held at the Mayflower Hotel. Through an unusual series of coincidences, this reel-to-reel hour-long recording of Neruda's recital of 15 poems came to light recently and will be played for the public for the first time in forty years. The recital recording in Spanish will be accompanied by silend video coverage of Neruda's 3 homes in Chile. Inter-American Development Bank Cultural Center |
